We believe that the worship of God includes our response to God in our singing to him, prayers to him, and the giving of gifts. But the highlight of worship is where God speaks to his people. He does so through the reading and preaching of his Word (Lk 10:16, Rom 10:14). God, by his Holy Spirit, uses the truths of scripture to shine his glory into the depths of our souls calling us to live solely and wholly for him (Eph 4:15). God's Word comes through sinful human beings (2 Cor 4:7), so our focus is not on the preacher, but on the "treasure" he opens up for us.
